Hi! My name is Allison. I’m a lesbian artist living in Austin with an intense love for alternative fashion, tattoos, interior design, the queer community, and 3-D art. The seeds of creativity were planted early on in my life. From a very young age I painted, drew, sculpted with modeling clay, and made all kinds of art sculptures out of random objects and craft supplies. I’ve always had ideas of opening up a shop to sell little pieces of my passions, but I spent my early adulthood doing college and working odd jobs and making art as a hobby. About 5 years ago I moved to Austin, Tx and got into the farmer’s market vending community. I enjoyed a carefree life being a full-time vendor for small businesses and meeting tons of wonderful people, and still didn’t feel that the time had come yet to pull the trigger on something for myself.
In August of 2024, I met and fell in love with my now-fiancée Rani. Only a few months in, Rani began coming to every single farmer’s market of mine and helping me, and we got to spend all of my work hours side by side. Amazingly, a job that was already a huge source of joy and peace became a hundred times better with the company of my life partner.
In August of 2026, after 2 blissful years together, we received devastating news- Rani was diagnosed with stage 4 bone cancer. Our whole world turned upside down. Rani’s doctors also informed us that because her cancer was so aggressive and had progressed so far, her chemo would all need to be done in the hospital with 5 day stays 3 weeks a month. After the first few weeks of being by her side through all of this, I realized that I no longer had the ability to work at markets every week if I was going to be the support that Rani needed. And even when I could work, my favorite work partner couldn’t join me and would have to stay home dealing with her symptoms alone.
I needed something to try to ease this new financial burden, something I could also use to give myself a little light during all the dark days.
It was finally time for that shop. I could draw my own designs and hand carve stamps to print them, all while getting to spend precious moments with the woman I love in her hospital bed. Being there for my partner is now my biggest priority, and what a sign from the universe that now is the time to finally make my dreams a reality too. In all of this awful, there can be new beginnings. And even better, with Rani being right there helping choose designs & giving her input, we won’t have to lose the teamwork we enjoy so much working together at the markets.
So here’s the fun part: when you look at our shop, you have one thing you can always count on. All of these designs start as ideas, an inside joke, a smile and a laugh shared between lovers. All of the thrifted clothes that we print on are picked with care on a much-needed shopping adventure on one of Rani’s good days. All of the brand new clothes are ordered online in a moment of fun while stuck in a hospital. Most of the drawing and carving that I do is done with my partner fast asleep on my lap. Truly, all of the work that goes into every piece has paid for itself before any money is ever exchanged. Please enjoy what we’ve been doing with all of this time we’ve been given together. Buy something, share this page, smile, spread the love. And hold the ones you love close while you have them.
